Soooo, what all has happened these past few weeks? A LOT!! and it's all pretty AWESOME!!!
I'M LEARNING SPANISH!!! I'm learning and just beginning. I plan to be fairly fluent by August 2nd!
LINA STARTED HER NEW JOB. She is still trying to get used to waking up soooo early, she starts work at 530 am... It's a tough job for very little pay and she works her butt off. Then comes home and takes care of me... which, i'm sure is so blissful she can't stand it.... or, it's like another full time job.. I'm not sure which it is. ;)
Her benefits will kick in sometime in March, then we can hopefully get the process of getting her surgery started. Hopefully we can get this done early in summer.. The job is hard but the benefits are truly awesome!
HONEYMOOOOOOOON!!!!! You know I can wait for this!!!! We started getting this together the other day!!!! I'm so excited! We are watching videos of what to do and what will happen! I can't wait. Still saving up for it but we are so excited! I'm even learning the Cumbia (apparently a Colombian dance?) I don't have Lina here to tell me exactly what that is... haha. But, I'm pretty much awesome at it already!!
VALENTINES!!!!! Man, valentines was so awesome!!! So I ordered her some flowers that didn't get to her work until AFTER she was already home.... BUT, she came home to a nice little set up of Doggy bear? (is that what you call a stuffed dog?), note (with all our important dates! Yeah, I remember all of them!!), and some Ferrero Rocher Chocolate. Then I came home to dim lights, candles, A note, hearts everywhere and balloons (You may have seen one of these balloons in my dog Bucket's mouth? LOL) Then, the next night I took her to listen to some Jazz and have some of the best food I think I've ever had... Behind my moms Key lime pie of course :)
RINGS!!! We got our rings they are awesome!!! Can't wait to be able to wear mine! Hers is beautiful! Can't wait for her to be able to wear hers!!
DRESS!!!! RINGS!!!! HONEYMOON!!!! VALENTINES!!!! SPANISH!!!! EVERYDAY!!!!!
Man, I love this woman, I'm IN LOVE with this woman. Mi Bonita or as my dad would prefer Mi Bonita Lady haha. (I added the haha)
There is soo much I'm sure I'm missing something. Oh Yeah. We started a small group through our Church and we are loving it! Making new and good friends and getting to talk about God to more and more people! They are all our age and married so we are able to learn from them as well.
Can't wait for March my Gran-mother gets to meet my Future wife! AND we are just that much closer to being MARRIED.
Money is really really tight.. but with God our Love and our Family and Friends I know we are good. AND I'm so HAPPY that I barely think about how tight the finances are. I've told Lina this before and will always tell her. If, God forbid, we end up living in a box somewhere under a bridge as long as I have her in my life I DON'T CARE!! I will take much better care of her and definitely never let that happen and our finances are no where near that tight haha but, as long as I have her, the love of my life, my family, and my friends all the other stuff is material and perishable.
Love you all!
Also, looking for a good book on marriage for where we are right now if any one has some suggestions?
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Yeah! The cumbia is a typical dance here in Colombia! We have our Cumbia queen hahaha ... you should practice "yo me llamo cumbia" which it's one of the most famous cumbia song.... =)
ReplyDeleteI listened to it and now have the dance perfected! Gracias!
