Let's start with this. I made myself stop writing. I would never stop. I even skipped half the things I wanted to talk about. But, there is so much to cover it is truly endless. So. I'm done. if you want to know more or what to come after me because of my beliefs and who I support.... well come on. It will be fun. That was politics is all about.
Anyway, Who do I support?
1. Ted Cruz - Most conservative based on record
2. Marco Rubio
3. Jeb Bush
4. Ben Carson
5. Ron Paul (Yes, go away, I know he dropped out.)
6. Donald Trump - Least conservative based on record
Why is America trashed? Well, because of Donald Trumps most recent rhetoric. He has turned this country against his own party by thrashing W. We all know, as republicans, that Obama has ruined America and the economy, but Donald speaks ill of W's presidency but goes no further. He for some reasons stops right before the Clinton years... Interesting huh? No, it isn't. It is because HE SUPPORTED THEM AT THAT TIME AND DIDN'T SUPPORT W. Anyway, read more below as to why I believe Donald Trump is the wrong decision for America.
Please remember, this has no reflection on you as supporters of the Donald. This is purely my belief on why Donald Trump should not be our next commander in chief. - Remember that phrase when voting. Commander in Chief. This is more then, will this guy fix the economy? This is much much more.
Donald Trump...
Ok, I understand. I completely understand why people like him. I can understand why he has 1/3rd of the republican party behind him.
Why?
- Well, let's begin with the simple fact that he is not a politician. He hasn't promised the American people something and not delivered. He isn't a part of the so-called establishment wing that strictly gets elected, brings home a paycheck, and doesn't really work for the people.
- He is, in large part, self-funding his campaign. (side note: lets remember who this man is. An incredibly savvy businessman who doesn't invest in something if he doesn't believe he will see a return on investment monetarily) Who is not beholden to lobbyist or special interest groups (aside from Planned parenthood, in whom he is clearly beholden to)
- He is "one of us". This is not my sentiment. This is the sentiment of his supporters. They say, "Donald Trump is one of us. He is a regular guy, a citizen, he isn't a politician and hasn't sold out to anyone". I'll get to this in more detail later.
- He is a business man. The economy is clearly tanking. And who better than a well-accomplished businessman to cure our economies wounds.
This is all great, great stuff. Quite honestly, if I read this and listen to 85% of the things he is saying on this very day I would absolutely vote for him.
What does he say today?
Things like securing our border, as Trump says and to which I totally agree, "we can't have a country if we don't have borders". We have to secure our borders, we have to do something to the 11-12 million illegal immigrants. He says he is pro-life today, I am too! He says we have to go after ISIS, Assad, grow and strengthen our military, the keystone pipeline needs to get done, Etc. All of this is truly amazing.
So... What in the world is the problem with all of this? Easy... his record and the possibility of getting anything he says done. The one thing he clearly does not want brought up. He gets incredibly, incredibly frustrated when his record is brought up. So much so that even Jeb Bush threw him off his game in the last debate. He can't handle it when his past get brought up. And his supporters... sorry guys, but you are even worse. "Oh that was 17 years ago", "oh he has changed his mind since then", "he is allowed to change his mind". Blah Blah blah.
Let's just get to the bottom of this....
Donald Trump...
CANNOT AND WILL NOT deport 11-12 million people. It would cost soooo much more tax payer money to get that done than anything Obama has done during his presidency. Don't believe me? research it for yourself.
Did not support the war in Iraq, but is now in support of a war against ISIS, which has a bigger following than Al Qaeda, owns more territory, and has killed hundreds of Americans vs the thousands of Americans Al Qaeda killed in 2001. This one, I just truly can't understand...
Supported Hillary Clinton, going as far as donating to her cause and everything but fully endorsing her. And if you are saying "oh this was so long ago", let's go back just a few years ago when he said Hillary was the best Secretary of State this country has ever had. You don't think that is an endorsement?
He wants to keep tax payer money going to Planned Parenthood. Now, here is where it gets fun. Yes, a looooonnnnnggggg time ago he was fully PRO-CHOICE even as far as 8-9 months he was PRO-CHOICE. Now, Today, he says he is Pro-life. Things change, you find God, you understand the purpose of life and things change, that is fine. But let's remember where he stood. (More Later)
He was a democrat, turned republican, turned conservative, turned to where he is now, a moderate? What the heck are you? Pick a party and stay with it.. Bob Dole wannabe.
Now, let us get to, what I like to call, the "MORE LATER" stuff. This is where I like to call out Donald Trump.
We will start with his supporters who say he is "one of us"
- NO HE ISN'T!!!!! He is a freaking billionaire. His father was too. Baby Donald received a million dollars from daddy to get his start. Money is power and his family was/is loaded. He is nothing like us.
- A total and Utter flip-flopper. I love this one. Trump supporters and Trump himself hate this. They want to look at Donald Trump right here right now but want to look at all the other candidates based on their record. Donald Trump was fully democrat not more than a few years ago. Pro-choice, pro eminent domain, Hillary Clinton donator and supporter, etc. But when people bring this up he and his Supporters scream foul! That this was so long ago it can't be brought up now. BUT when Marco Rubio changes position, or Ted Cruz, Or Jeb Bush he screams liar and flip flopper. Also, listen to him, listen to how much he will go after these candidates but never hit Hillary or Obama on any substantive issues. He may mock them from time to time but never really goes after their policies. He goes after his own party's policies more than theirs
Again, there is so much more to this. But I had to stop, I'm hungry, I'm tired, I'm missing my shows, and frankly I wanted to leave open some room for debate.
